Membership Development Committee Report [Q1 2025]

They say success breeds success, and who wouldn’t want to be part of such a winning organization! It is with great pride to inform and thank all FOA members who have worked to promote and grow this organization that is so vital to the future of optometry in Florida. The FOA’s membership is strong!

The FOA continues to work with Nova Southeastern’s College of Optometry (as well as other Florida optometry groups at other optometry schools) to promote the importance of organized optometry. The FOA membership committee continues to reach out and encourage students to attend the annual FOA conference. The FOA has also committed to growing new platforms, especially on social media to promote membership among prospective ODs.

As stated in previous reports, the FOA is asking all members to understand the importance of continuing their membership. The FOA asks if you know a fellow colleague who is a former member or know of another optometrist who has never been a member, to invite them to the next local society meeting to encourage their participation in moving the profession forward.

Let us all gather this year at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort in Orlando to celebrate another successful year!
