Disaster Relief and a Call for Assistance

Have you been impacted by Hurricane Irma, or know of an optometrist who has?
If so, see below.

To contribute to the Disaster Relief Fund

The Florida Optometric Association in conjunction with the Optometry Cares®-The AOA Foundation, wants to assist qualifying optometrists whose lives and practices have been disrupted by the hurricane with grants up to $4,000 in immediate financial relief.

The mission of Optometry's Fund for Disaster Relief is to provide help to Florida optometrists who have experienced damage to their practice and/or home. FOA and AOA want to help all optometrists in need.
This is an individual grant, not per practice, so have each of your optometrists apply for the grant.  The process to apply is easy... fill out and return the simple form, making sure that you provide an address that can currently receive mail.

Thank you in advance for helping us reach every Florida optometrist who may have been affected.
